A Blackberry in Church?

I attended a church funeral yesterday with my husband. We arrived and were seated about 20 minutes before the service was scheduled to begin. He proceeded to read emails via his Blackberry. I told him I thought this was wrong, since we were in church, but he said it was OK because the service hadn't started and he was being discreet about it. What do you think, my Y!A friends?
