Relationship, who is my heart telling me to be with?

i just need a little advice on something important, and i dont know what to do...i was datin my ex for almost 2 years, we had a place together which we owned, which hes still at right now, we got along so good, but then stuff started gettin rocky....we broke up a bunch of stuff happened..and then i finally moved out 5 month ago....this guy i used to work with , we started seeing each other and stuff and hes so serious about me, but everytime im with him i get sad and think of all the things me and my ex would do together, and i cant get him out of my head......but if i look in the future of whats best for me, it would to be with the guy that im with right now...the guy im with right now, has a good job, a car, and plans on goin to college in jan gettin a even better job..and my ex well he doesnt seem to care much about his future...he'd be working a deadend job for the rest of his life if he doesnt go to college.....another thing his license is suspended and he has no car....that was another reason we broke up....you sometimes take the good with the bad....if i looked at it future wise, id be picking the guy im with now....id be finanically stable and imean thats not the only reason i do hvae feelings for my bf who im with now....but im not sure if my feelins for my ex are conquering that....what do i do if i cant let go?
