How to create a bohemian look with a limited budget?

My winter style is more cly Audrey Hepburn-ish mixed with newspaper boy. I am starting to really like the bohemian/hippie kind of look. I was thinking I'd like to combine bohemian with cowgirl for the summer...but I don't have a whole lot of money to spend (going to university). I always seem to be attracted to bold colours as well...but I do not like tie-die. Any ideas?
