What the hell is an SCSI/RAID Host Controller?

Everytime I start up my computer, I get a "Found New Hardware Wizard" window claiming the computer wants to install software for an "SCSI/RAID Host Controller", whatever the **** that's supposed to be. I tell it to install automatically, but then it decides not to, saying it can't find what it wants, so it obviously doesn't need it. This annoying dialog box doesn't coincide with any new software or hardware, so there's really no call for it. How do I make it go away?
