Please Help Me!!!!Help me sort this mess???

We were having a c.d(cl discussion) on the Black Power movement and the case of Tommie Smith and John Carlos doing the raised fist thing and with heads bowed down during the American national Anthem after Tommie Smith won the competition in the olympics.I said that Olympics was not a pol. movt and it was wrong and against the Olympic Spirit and they were kind of degrading their nation whom they had been chosen to represent while the rest of the cl strongly differed and they told me it was because of human rights violations and etc. and etc.They asked me whom do i support in the American prez elections and i told them mccain because i like the Republicans.They started calling me a racist and my friends who know me well added other adjectives of ist and fundamentalist(partly true) and also when i talk of the Amarnath controversy and told them there is no blockade then they called me fundamentalist .I told them that IIT's shld not have any reserved seats andBR ambedkar was given a scholarship by a high caste and that dalits in India CANNOT be compared to blacks in America and when the got to know i'm a Brahmin from my friends they called me a casteist.I m a ist becos' ,well ,i dont talk to girls.But that's all fine,i'm scared that my clmates will call me a casteist and all that crap wherever i go and i fear thatt my 'image' in front of the cl and the subject teacher as a nice good and taintless boy wud get spoilt.And i dont want to hurt anyone's sentiments.I'm an Indian and this is my story from Delhi please help me.!!!!!
