Is it too much to expect a "family Christmas"?

I think that it's perfectly fair for your family to want to do other things for Christmas. It sounds as though you've grown up with "family" Christmases, so you're not used to being on your own for the holidays. Is it because you don't have a significant other or a place to go of your own? I don't mean to be rude. I think it's fantastic that your folks are going to Mexico...they probably deserve a break! Be happy for them! Or go with them if you want! It's just noe Christmas. Do something you wouldn't normally do on that day. Heck, you can always come visit me in Texas! There'll be plenty of food!!!
