Audition song for Rent?

I'm auditioning to be in Rent at my high school musical production. The competition is tough, so I need a really good alto rock musical type song (it cannot be from rent!) to do. i originally was going to audition with Notice me Horton from Seussical, but this is definitely not what she wants. I am also female, so a female (ALTO) singing part. I am not the best singer, so please something easy but appealing and amazing! thanks so much!!!!
